![]() Hello neighbor was constantly adding easter eggs and bigger houses to pander to the YouTubers that played specifically for the hidden lore of the game. The problem with both is that they tried too hard to pander to the YouTube demographic. But as Yanderedev started developing other aspects of the school life side of the game, the focus shifted to it as well. Yandere simulator was supposed to be a stealth assassination game with some parodying undertones, but with the murder aspect still being the core of the game. But they ruined it when the game shifted focused to parkour/platforming and the game design started to revolve around it, which caused the AI to become stupid because it wasn't designed with parkour being the core of the game. Hello neighbor was a stealth horror game with the gimmick of the AI actually learning from how the player plays and adapting around it. ![]() It's interesting some parallels I just thought about both games.
